POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Manager in Supply Chain & Alliance Management to implement, execute and manage the European supply chain and distributors/partners alliances to ensure seamless logistic operation in the distribution of current and future VIVUS medicines commercialized in Europe.
In this hands-on position, you will report to the Director, Finance and Supply Chain, Europe, with matrixed reporting to the Global Supply Chain organization, and manage and lead all aspects of European supply and alliances/partnerships.
Specific responsibilities described below include but are not limited to the following:
ROLE
Maintain a 24-month rolling supply forecast to secure continuity of supply based on strategic elements from demand forecasts provided by commercial and specification changes that impact supply
Manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors and commercial partners in the countries where the product is and will be launched. Ensure that all existing contractual obligations are met from both sides
Ensure effective customer onboarding and order management, including returns, and backorder management
Support the management and development of EU partnership efforts, including negotiations of new contracts for European geographical expansion.
Communicate order and inventory status to stakeholders as required.
Manage and track the orders to ensure a seamless supply of launched medicines.
Ensure changes in supply configuration, design, timeline, manufacturing availability and regulatory requirements are being captured in the change control process.
Coordinate and ensures the availability of all necessary Controlled Drug import and export licenses between the corresponding countries.
Manage EU FMD serialization activities.
Manage supplier performance metrics and routinely monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational and economic performance improvement.
Support Regulatory and Global Supply Chain with new specifications and change controls during label changes and bar code creations.
Identify, define, prioritize, and communicate risks to successful operations; develop and monitor risk mitigation and contingency plan.
Serve as an internal expert on partner company and partnership contract
Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, regulations and contractual obligations with partners
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No reports are foreseen for this position in the medium period.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
BS/BA or MS/MA degree in economic or related discipline.
Fluency in English is required. Good knowledge of other European languages adds value.
Experience:
3-5+ years in small-mid size organizations or start-up, either biotech or pharmaceuticals, with at least 2 years of experience in building organizations.
Residency in Switzerland is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of current Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices (cGMPs and cGDPs).
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Project (or equivalent),and have a demonstrated experience in inventory management.
Proven success working in cross-functional teams and managing projects and complex problems to successful completion
Ability to manage and understand contracts between pharmaceutical companies and third parties such as wholesalers, distributors and commercial partners.
Uses broad expertise or unique knowledge and skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
Identifies and implements methods, techniques, procedures and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
Has working knowledge of other related disciplines.
Applies strong analytical and business communication skills.
